New Summit School serves students grades K-12 in a positive and stimulating learning environment.
SATELLITE SERVICES
New Summit partners with existing schools using certified teachers to provide academic classes. These classes are customized to address individual learning needs of the student.
NEW SUMMIT SCHOOL offers customized services for students
whose needs fall outside the regular school schedule.
The New Learning Resources Online program is designed to guide students through the requirements to earn a high school diploma in lieu of the General Education Diploma (GED).
ON-LINE COURSES
Designed for the student whose needs are met through a more non-traditional schedule, this service is arranged and monitored through New Summit staff.
REAL ENTREPRENEURIAL IN ACTION (REAL)
New Summit School offers the REAL program, which helps individuals, schools, communities, and businesses grow through hands-on entrepreneurship education. REAL helps prepare youth adults to be active, self-sufficient, and productive citizens who can contribute to their community’s economic and social development.
SUMMER SESSIONS
Summer courses are available to allow students to move forward academically either to accelerate toward graduation or to offer remediation. Summer courses are offered onsite at the NSS campus and on-line through New Summits online course program.
Mississippi Community Education center has partnered with New Summit School and Leake County Schools to offer the 21st Century Learning Center Program for students of both schools. The primary focus of the program is the improvement of Math and English scores for those students that score in the basic or minimal range on the state standardized test or reserve free/reduced lunch.
